the tail wagging the dog

As the saying goes " the tail wagging the dog” means that the least important part of a situation has too much influence over the most important part, which quite described the present time in China, where something of greater significance, Sino-Tibet issue is driven by something less, such as anti-CNN, anti-France, anti-Wang(Duke student). Therefore, I think the movie “Wag the Dog” is a perfect illustration of the current relation between West and China.

And, who are the dog and what the tail represents? Some may suggest that the bog symbolizes public opinion, and the tail represents the media or the government; others suggest that the dog is the media, and the tail is political campaigns. But all in all, where the truth lies? Who is the producer? It reminds me the Clinton-Lewinsky affair, and American war in Iraq. No doubt this is a great movie. I did enjoy the movie despite now it is so hard for me to believe the media.
